![]() ![]() ![]() It keeps you from exploring the world, which is essentially the opposite of the philosophy behind the base game: you're supposed to be exploring as your main focus and engaging the enemies who get in your way. You can find and kill the creature that summons them, but until you do you're essentially running (or madly rolling) through the level in an effort to avoid rather than engage. The Ringed City does not always follow this formula. That's what makes it both extremely hard and fun at the same time. ![]() So in almost every case, DS3 allows you to find a solution or counter or something that works against whatever's in your way, even if it takes you a dozen tries to get it right. And, of course, we all know that no one here would ever take the latter option. Most of Dark Souls 3 is hard, no question, but most of it is fair, and in almost every situation you can either fight your way through or just run.
